The shortest route from visitor to buyer.
- Save an account key. Create a key-only account. There is no email or password, and the key is shown once.
- Add Monero. Send XMR to the wallet address on the wallet page. Your balance updates after 10 network confirmations.
- Pick a listing. Browse digital products. Your payment is held in escrow until the seller delivers.

Your account
One private key is your sign-in.
Merchant gives you a random account key. Other people see your generated public handle. Your key is never your public name, and there is no email or password recovery.
A Solana wallet is optional for shopping and selling. Link one by signing a message if you want to use holder perks or receive coin holder rewards. Signing the link message does not move funds.
Payments and escrow
XMR moves through a balance on Merchant.
Deposit XMR to the wallet address on the wallet page. Deposits are credited after 10 confirmations. You can spend the balance on listings or withdraw it. The Monero network fee is deducted from a withdrawal.
At checkout, the price moves into escrow. The seller uploads the product or delivery proof on the order page. You can confirm receipt to release payment immediately. Otherwise it releases 10 minutes after delivery, unless you open a dispute before release.
If delivery is missing or wrong, open a dispute from the order page. An admin can refund the buyer, pay the seller, or split the escrow. Read the buying steps.
Selling
A stall costs nothing to open.
List a digital product with a title, image, description, XMR price and stock. Listing is free, and sellers receive the full sale price. Buyers pay only in Monero.
Publishing also creates one coin for the listing on pump.fun. Merchant pays the launch cost. When an order arrives, deliver through its order page. You can restock a sold-out listing; ending a listing permanently ends its holder perk.
Listing coins
A coin comes with every published listing.
Coins trade on pump.fun using a Solana wallet. Merchant shows them and checks holdings for perks, but coin trading does not happen here. A seller may offer a discount to people holding a set amount of the listing's coin when they check out.
Verify a coin before trading it. Every genuine Merchant listing coin has the same creator wallet:

Compare that creator address on pump.fun or Solscan with the address above. A matching name or picture alone is not proof. Verification steps · Browse coins
Holder rewards
A linked wallet can receive XMR every 20 minutes.
The admin adds XMR to the rewards reserve from 50% of claimed coin creator fees. Each round distributes 1% of the reserve, weighted first by SOL in each coin and then by token holdings. Shares for wallets that are not linked stay in the reserve.
Rewards can continue after a listing ends, even though its shopping perk ends. See the worked example and current figures on the rewards page.
How Merchant runs
Two background jobs keep money moving without anyone pressing a button.
The Monero worker. Merchant's Monero wallet runs on a paid Google Cloud server, alongside a small worker program. The wallet connects to the Monero network through a Monero node and has no public port: only the worker on the same server can talk to it. The website never touches the wallet directly; the two only meet through the database.
Every minute the worker:
- gives each new account its own deposit address;
- checks for incoming deposits and credits each one exactly once, after 10 confirmations;
- sends queued withdrawals in one batch, with the network fee split between them;
- reports the wallet balance to the admin dashboard.
Every 20 minutes it also reads who holds each listing coin on Solana and pays that round's holder rewards.
The escrow timer. Merchant's database runs on Supabase, and a scheduled job (Supabase cron) runs inside it every minute. It releases escrow to the seller for every order delivered more than 10 minutes ago without a dispute. Orders in dispute are never touched; only an admin settles those.
Because the timer lives inside the database, releases happen on time even if the website or the Monero server is down. Every balance change is recorded in a ledger that can never go below zero.
