Terms of use

Merchant is a marketplace for digital products paid for in Monero (XMR). Sellers, rather than Merchant, describe and deliver their products. Merchant provides the listing, account balance and order escrow tools. There is no shipping or physical delivery.

You must be at least 18, use the site only where it is lawful for you to do so, and comply with laws that apply to your purchases, sales, taxes and use of cryptocurrency. Do not use Merchant for fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, stolen data, malware, unlawful content or products you do not have the right to sell. Do not interfere with the site or other users' accounts.

Your random account key is your only sign-in credential. Merchant does not provide email or password recovery and cannot restore a lost key. Keep it private and backed up. Anyone with the key can use your account, including its XMR balance, and you are responsible for activity under it unless applicable law provides otherwise.

A Solana wallet is optional. Linking it requires a signed message and does not transfer your coins. A Solana wallet can be linked to only one Merchant account at a time. See your account for the wallet currently linked.

Sellers must describe what a buyer will receive, set an accurate XMR price and stock, and have the rights needed to sell and deliver the product. A purchase is for the digital product described in that listing; any usage licence or restrictions should be stated there. Buyers should read the listing before paying. Merchant does not check or endorse every product or promise a particular product will meet your needs.

Creating a listing and selling through Merchant carry no platform fee. The buyer pays the checkout price shown in XMR, including any holder discount applied at checkout. The seller receives the full paid price if the order is released to them. Prices and any tax obligations are the seller's responsibility.

XMR sent to the wallet address shown on the wallet page is credited to your Merchant balance after 10 network confirmations. Send only Monero to that address. Blockchain transfers are generally irreversible, and an incorrect address or network may result in lost funds. Your on-site balance can be used for purchases or requested for withdrawal.

The minimum withdrawal is 0.001 XMR. A withdrawal request deducts the requested amount from your available balance immediately. Withdrawals are sent in automatic batches, so sending may take time. The Monero network fee is deducted from the amount sent; Merchant does not keep that fee. An invalid destination address is returned to your on-site balance. Check the address before submitting: a completed blockchain transfer cannot be reversed by Merchant.

At checkout, the paid XMR moves from the buyer's balance into order escrow. The seller then uploads one delivery file, or a file showing proof of delivery, with an optional note. The buyer can confirm receipt to release the payment. Otherwise, payment releases to the seller 10 minutes after delivery unless the buyer opens a dispute first.

Buyers can open a dispute on the order page while an order awaits delivery or during that post-delivery window. If a seller never delivers, there is no automatic refund: the buyer must open a dispute. Merchant reviews the order and may return all escrowed XMR to the buyer, release it all to the seller, or split it. Any refund is credited to the buyer's Merchant balance. Once payment has been released, the on-site dispute flow cannot reverse it.

There is no automatic change-of-mind refund for a completed digital order. This process does not take away any cancellation, refund or other remedy you have under applicable law.

Publishing a listing also launches its own coin on pump.fun using Merchant's creator wallet. Merchant pays the launch cost. Coin trading takes place on pump.fun, under that service's terms; Merchant does not buy, sell or hold those coins for you. A coin remains on the blockchain after its listing ends.

A seller may offer a discount to buyers whose linked Solana wallet holds the stated amount of that listing's coin at checkout. Perks apply only while the listing is live and end permanently when the listing ends. Wallet or network errors may prevent a perk check; an unapplied discount is not promised later.

Merchant's holder rewards come from an XMR reserve topped up with 50% of claimed creator fees. Every 20 minutes, the scheduled payout is 1% of the reserve, divided among eligible linked holders using the published reward method. The reserve, coin holdings and network data can change. A round may be delayed or skipped, and no particular reward, yield or coin value is guaranteed. Rewards can continue after a listing ends. See the rewards page for the calculation.

Coins and cryptocurrency can lose value, including their entire value. Buying or holding a coin is your decision and is not required to buy or sell digital products on Merchant.

Sellers keep their rights in their listings and products. By uploading a listing image and text, a seller permits Merchant to display them to operate and promote that listing and its coin. The listing image and coin metadata are published through IPFS and may remain available outside Merchant even after a listing ends. Delivery files are stored privately and made available to the order's buyer and seller through the site.

Buyers receive only the rights the seller states in the listing or that applicable law provides. Do not copy, resell or distribute a product unless the seller's licence permits it. Sellers must not upload content that infringes another person's rights.

Merchant depends on the Monero and Solana networks and outside services for storage and coin trading. Confirmations, withdrawals, coin launches, perk checks and rewards can be delayed or unavailable during outages. We may change or stop features, but this does not cancel an existing order or remove rights that applicable law gives you.

We may update these terms by posting a new version and date on this page. Changes apply going forward; the terms in effect when an order was placed continue to govern that order, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Merchant does not guarantee a seller's product, an uninterrupted site, a coin's value or a particular holder reward. Use the order dispute control promptly if a delivery is missing or wrong; you may also pursue any rights available to you under applicable law.
